Veckans mat

Vi får väldigt varierad mat i vårat studentboende men något som alltid står på menyn är... Ris!!! Ris serveras till frukost, lunch och middag. Serveringen av riset brukar också variera lite, från endast enkelt ris till risröra innehållandes kött och sallad ibland också ris med majs eller något liknande. Det som varierar är det som serveras till riset, det kan vara fisk, kyckling eller fläsk. Det ingår också alltid någon form av soppa till lunchen och middagen. 

Lunchen brukar oftast vara mycket bra, medans frukosten kan vara av och till... Veckans vinnare blev helt klart friterad kyckling med pasta och ris! Jag infogade också några restaurangmåltider också, mer bilder och information om maten kommer senare. 

Imorgon kommer vi att åka till Gyeongju, en av Koreas mest historiska städer med en av världens finaste buddhastatyer och tempel finns där.

We get very varied food in our dormitory but something that always stand on the meny is... Rice!!! Rice is served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. How the rice is prepared does vary a little, from just simple rice to some rice mixed togheter with meat and sallad, sometimes the rice is only mixed with corn or similar. What is served with the rice varies from meal to meal, it can be fish, chicken or pork. Some kind of soup is included to every lunch and dinner.

The lunch is often very good, while the breakfast is up and down... Winner of the week became fried chicken with pasta and rice! I also attached some restaurant meals, more pictures and info will be submitted later.

Tomorrow we will go to Gyeongju, one of Koreas most historical cities with one of the worlds most beautiful buddha statues and temple there.

En liten glimt av Japan

I helgen åkte vi till ön Taejongdae som ligger i södra delen av Busan. Vid klart väder kan man skymta den Japanska ön Tsushima island, som ligger mitt emellan Busan och det Japanska fastlandet. Vi hade mycket tur med vädret så vi fick oss en glimt av den. Busan är väldigt bergigt och Taejongdae var inget undantag, höga klippor och vassa stenar omringar ön.

The Swedish contribution

The displacement of the medics, Sweden were stationed in Busan.

In the weekend we went to an island called Taejongdae which lies in the southern part of Busan. During clear weather you can get a glimpse on the Japanese island, Tsushima island, which lies right in between Busan and the Japanese mainland. We were very lucky with the weather, which allowed us to see Tshushima. Busan is a very mountainous city and Taejongdae is not an exception, high cliffs and sharp rocks surrounds the island.

En kulinarisk upplevelse

Att äta ute i Korea har varit en upplevelse i sig maten, smakerna och atmosfären är något som jag inte upplevt i Sverige. En av de mest annorlunda upplevelserna är den Koreanska BBQ:en, som kallas "Samgyeopsal". Den består av stekt bacon med diverse andra olika grönsaker, såser m.m. Det är sättet att tillaga det som är lite annorlunda.

På varje bord är det utplacerat en grillplatta där tillagningen av maten sker. Jag beställer maten och jag får sköta tillagningen av maten själv! Det kan kännas lite konstigt att laga sin egna mat i en restaurang, men det är roligt! När maten är klar, stänger man bara av plattan och det är dags att käka!

To eat out in Korea have been an experience by it self, the different tastes and atmosphere is something that I haven't encountered in Sweden. One of the most exciting experiences have been the Korean BBQ, which is called "Samgyopsal". It consist of pan-fried bacon with various vegetables, sauces etc. It is the way of preapering it which is kind of different...

Every table in the restaurant has one grill plate in the middle of the table. I order the food and the food is brought to me raw,  I then cook the food my self! It can feel a bit strange to be the one who prepare the food when I go to a restaurant, but it is fun! When the cooking is finished, I just turn the grill of and it is time to eat!

The museum of Illusions

Nu har studierna börjat på riktigt, all introduktion är över och allt flyter på som vanligt nu. Jag fick min första assignement förra veckan, den måste göras annars så får man massor av straffpoäng... 

Nu i helgen så var det planerat att vi skulle åka till kusten för att kolla på havet, det ska vara mycket fint där men det regnade hela helgen så vi for till The museum of Illusions. Ni kan se bilderna som jag tog där ;-)  

Jag har också, tillsammans med många andra utbytesstudenter, bokat flygbiljett till Tokyo, Japan. Avresan är 5 maj ;-)

Now the classes have started for real, all the introductions are over and everything is proceeding as it should. I got my first assignement the week before and it should be finished quite soon, or else there will be consequences... 

We were planning to go to a nice place in the weekend. The plan was to go to the coast but because of the bad weather we decided to go to an awesome museum, the museum of Illusions! U can see the pictures from there. 

I have also togheter with the other exchange students booked a ticket to Tokyo ;-). Departure is scheduled on 5 of May!
